Meet the Team: Kuryakyn Digital Imaging Specialist, Lindsay VanDeWeghe

Lindsay VanDeWeghe - Kuryakyn Digital Imaging Specialist

We’re pretty much all artists here at Kuryakyn, whether we’re designing parts, developing new equipment or creating new products in the machine shop. But for Lindsay VanDeWeghe, Kuryakyn is just one big canvas for her artistic skills as a digital imaging specialist. But let’s let Lindsay tell us her story:

Kuryakyn: Who are you and what do you to do here at Kuryakyn?

Lindsay VanDeWeghe: My name is Lindsay, and I’m Kuryakyn’s digital imaging specialist. I color correct, retouch and composite all of the photos that Kuryakyn uses in its catalogs, flyers, brochures and ads. I’ve been here almost a year and I’ve had a blast!

Kuryakyn: What did you do prior to coming to work for Kuryakyn?

LV: Before I worked at Kuryakyn, I was finishing my bachelor’s degree in illustration at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colo. After I moved back home to Minneapolis, I worked as a freelance illustrator for a while before finding my job at Kuryakyn.

Kuryakyn: What attracted to you to Kuryakyn?

LV: I love working at Kuryakyn. The people are the kindest, hardest-working and most knowledgeable people in the business. I was attracted to the company because I knew I could learn a lot about things I would have never been exposed to — and still do what I love to do.

Kuryakyn: When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?

LV: In my spare time, I love to hike, draw, run and travel. I also do a lot of sculpture. I will be taking a wood toy-making class this summer, which I’m really excited about!

Kuryakyn: What’s your all-time favorite motorcycle part or accessory?

LV: I don’t own a motorcycle, but my favorite parts are probably the Brembo caliper covers because that photo was really fun to retouch and I just love the look of the part.

Kuryakyn: If you could take a week or so off from work and ride anywhere in the world, where would you go and whom would you take?

LV: If I could take a week off and travel anywhere, I would probably go back to Colorado, because I really miss the mountains! I would probably just go by myself so I could hike to my heart’s content and not worry about someone trying to keep up.
