Three for Thursday: A Little Something for Just About Everyone

Time again for another segment of Three for Thursday where we highlight a trio of parts we think might knock your socks off or, at the very least, garner your interest. This time around we’re catering to you Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide Classic and Ultra Classic riders, as well as the metric crowd.

  • What else do you make to coordinate with this part? For the ultimate in rear-end lighting, you can add the Kuryakyn LED Two-Circuit Rear Turn Signal Inserts (p/n 5412 – 13) and Rear Fender Strip Lights (p/n 7758).

Black ISO Grips for Metric Cruisers

  • Part number? Kuryakyn p/n 6340, 6341, 6345
  • Where does it go? Replaces the stock handlebar grips.
  • What makes this part so great? By utilizing a combination of soft rubber and dense metal, these grips soak up vibrations in the handlebars, reducing fatigue and numbness that many riders experience on longer rides. Best of all, they’re now available in black.
  • What is it made of? Metal and rubber, the best combination for good looks and long-lasting comfort.
  • Is it hard to install? Installation usually takes just minutes using hand tools. Directions vary on particular makes and models. The average install takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on experience. See installation instructions here.
  • What bikes will this part fit? Most modern metric cruisers. See fitment chart here.
  • What else do you make to coordinate with this part? For even more comfort, add the Kuryakyn Contoured Throttle Boss (p/n 6318) or customize with an array of Colored Accent Rings (p/n 6220 – 6226).

The rear- and side-facing lights are both two-function and can be wired to operate independently of each other.
  • What is it made of? Mostly ABS for minimal weight that’s chrome-plated and incorporates some high-tech LED’s that look great shining day or night.
  • Is it hard to install? Thanks to plug and play wiring and the genius minds at Kuryakyn, installation is straightforward and can be done by most people in under an hour. See installation instructions here.
  • What bikes will this part fit? 1997-2011 Electra Glide Classic and Ultra Classic.
  • What else do you make to coordinate with this part? One of the best complements to the Aerion Lightbars are the Kuryakyn Panacea Taillights and Turn Signals that feature red and amber LED’s, Run-Turn-Brake functions, and a pulse brake option that really calls attention to your bike. And for even more light, the Kuryakyn Lighted Lower Saddlebag Accents (p/n 1564) are just the ticket with the addition of two more running and brake lights.

  1. Guys I bought the black ISO-grips, love them. Here’s an idea, make more stuff in black seeing as Black is the New Chrome! Make the deep dish bezels in black. I have had the chrome ones on all of my Harley’s but this one is getting the dark treatment. MORE BLACK PLEASE!

  2. Thanks for the feedback, keep an eye out for black parts in the months ahead later this year.

  3. Just curious about the ISO-grips; do they help with numbness in both hands, thumbs? It used to be long rides but it is getting worse. Still have stock grips on 2008 HD Heritage.
