Meet the Team: Kuryakyn Technical Support Representative, Tim Horvath

Kuryakyn's Tim Horvath

In the motorcycle industry, the people who represent a company can impact how we do business just as much as the parts we produce. Such is the case with Kuryakyn technical support representative Tim Horvath. Tim joined us last September and he hit the deck running. Call our tech support line and chances are, you’ll likely find yourself listening to Tim as he talks you through a product install or helps you with anything that requires additional motorcycle knowledge.

That’s not all this talented tech does for Kuryakyn. Tim also puts on product training classes for our employees. And it’s these classes that keep our entire team up to speed on our ever-changing, ever-expanding range of products. We make a habit at Kuryakyn of hiring those with the most knowledge and the most passion for motorcycles, and Tim Horvath fits the bill — big time!

Kuryakyn: What did you do prior to coming to work for Kuryakyn?

Tim Horvath: I was formally trained as an automotive service technician, working as a service manager. I made the transition to the motorcycle industry in 2007 at a Harley-Davidson dealer, starting out at the parts counter and then working my way all the way up to department manager within a year.

Kuryakyn: What attracted to you to Kuryakyn?

TH: From my retail parts counter experience I found that Kuryakyn not only made unique, stylish and functional products, they also excelled at customer service and support. I was always able to sell our products with confidence and I’ve discovered that retail customers love them as well.

Kuryakyn: When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?

TH: I am sure that like most people in the industry, I enjoy riding, and I do just that every chance I get. I’ve still got automotive repair in my blood and I enjoy working vehicles of every type.

Kuryakyn: What’s your all-time favorite motorcycle part or accessory?

TH: My all-time favorite accessory is the High-Intensity Plus 7-inch LED Headlamp. The added light at night and the increased visibility during the day are second to none.

Kuryakyn: If you could take a week or so off from work and ride anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?

TH: I would take my daughter and ride all through Colorado where the climate, the people and the diverse scenery is something I’ve always enjoyed. To be able to take a week off with my daughter and share that experience would be incredible.

  7. Hello Tim,
My Question pertains to your all time favorite MC part or Acc.
I purchased the Kuryakyn Phase 7 LED headlight from J&P cycles while in Daytona. I love the Brightness and at a great price. However, Ever since installation I have EMI(electromagnetic interference)I have tried to find info. About what is causing poor reception on my stereo. No one seems to be about to tell me the fix for my issue. I sure thought it would be a simple install with 1 plug in.
I am looking for answers hope you can help. Thanks in advance
