Meet the Team: Kuryakyn Customer Service Rep and Performance Consultant, Gene Vorwerk

Kuryakyn Customer Service Rep and Performance Consultant, Gene Vorwerk

If it’s performance-related, your go-to guy at Kuryakyn is Gene Vorwerk, a Harley hugger who’s been with us for nearly a decade now. This customer service representative specializes in performance products and technical support. But don’t take our word for it…let Gene tell you about it himself:

Kuryakyn: What did you do prior to coming to work for Kuryakyn?

Gene Vorwerk: My background includes 21 years at a franchise Harley-Davidson dealership and seven years in product specialization and cataloging Harley-Davidson accessories for a mail order dealer.

Kuryakyn: What attracted to you to Kuryakyn?

GV: I’ve had a longtime relationship with Kuryakyn and its founder, and I enjoy working with the best accessory company. So it was only fitting for me to join the team.

Kuryakyn: When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?

GV: Drag racing my old hot-rod or riding my motorcycle. My bike is a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide with all the Kuryakyn Wild Things performance parts. It has a 103ci motor that puts out 123hp to the wheel. The extra power is especially nice when riding two up and towing my trailer.

Kuryakyn: What’s your all-time favorite motorcycle part or accessory?

GV: Any performance-related engine parts. If it makes the bike faster, I’m interested. For quite some time now, I’ve been the in-house “go to” guy at Kuryakyn — especially when it comes to questions about our Wild Things Performance Line.

Kuryakyn: If you could take a week or so off from work and ride anywhere in the world, where would you go and who would you take with you?

GV: Since I really like to take in the sights along the way, I wouldn’t get very far in a week. I would probably look for a fishing hole in southern Missouri near Branson. I always take my wife and often when we travel, we like to also have a couple of friends and their wives.

  1. I would like to know if the romote control item # 4799 will work on the Superlizard Maximus kit. And can I program it to work for my Kawasaki 1700 Vulcan Nomad accent lights? I have just found you guys & will be ordering assories for my bike from you. I got the Superlizard Maximus kit for Christmas & love it, it make my Nomad look really neat at night.
