Kuryakyn Sponsors Kyle Wyman in the XR1200 Series
With the 2011 racing season in full swing, we’re pleased to announce that Kuryakyn has signed on to sponsor Kyle Wyman, winner of the inaugural AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series race at Daytona International Speedway. This fierce competitor will be easy to spot throughout the remainder of the 2011 season… he’ll be the one sporting a Kuryakyn-themed helmet!
Kyle hit the deck running back in 2007, and his road-racing career has been on the climb ever since. Last year, he competed aboard the No. 33 RMR/Bruce Rossmeyer’s/GEICO Powersports machine. Last year also was the debut season of the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series. Kyle will be competing in every round of the XR1200 series this year, with the next round scheduled at Infineon Raceway (May 13-14, 2011).
This year is turning out to be a busy one for Kuryakyn sponsorships. In early February we announced that we’d be teaming up with crew chief Harry Lartigue and rider Chip Ellis to sponsor a ride in the 2011 version of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series (see Kuryakyn Set to Sponsor NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Team).
Chip is a six-time national event winner and a former NHRA record holder. This year, he’ll be racing a Lartigue Racing Buell V-Twin with a Vance & Hines engine. And because Chip practically sleeps with a Buell V-Twin, he’s sure to be way up there in the standing this race season.
